Catskill Craftsmen

Catskill Craftsmen is located in Stamford, New York, a small rural village nestled in the northern sections of the Catskill Mountains, at the headwaters of the Schoharie Creek and Delaware river. Our picturesque views are second to none. The area is noted for downhill skiing, prime hunting, and terrific fishing. Stamford is also known as "The Queen of the Catskills," a name used by thousands of metropolitan New Yorkers, who, at the turning of the 19th to the 20th century, took the long train ride to spend their summers in the cool mountain air. Catskill Craftsmen began operations in 1948, and has developed over the years, becoming the nation's leading manufacturer of RTA (ready to assemble) hardwood kitchen islands, carts, and work-centers. Our company is privately held, and takes great pride in its products and services. We think our customer service is the best in the industry, and are sure you will too. Our dedicated employees work hard to insure that our products are delivered rapidly and meet your satisfaction. Our manufactured items are made from naturally self-sustaining, non-endangered North American hardwoods, primarily birch and hard rock maple. Lumber is purchased from area sawmills, then dried, manufactured, and packaged on site. All sawdust, shavings and other waste materials generated during the manufacturing process is converted into wood pellet fuel, and used to heat homes. We are proud to say, "Our operations generate no wood waste." You can find our products in leading department stores, houseware specialty stores, specialty catalogs, hundreds of small gourmet shops across the country, numerous finished and unfinished furniture stores, kitchen and bath shops, and home improvement centers. We are also a leading manufacturer of exclusive, private label kitchen workcenters for the trade.
